Topic: Industrial Applications Since the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan has announced a new draft standard for Led Street Lights in early December 2008, it can be said that the results of the operation of the academic and academic circles in the past two years will be summarized, and the LED street lights of the counties and municipalities will be marked. The demonstration project is also starting to run in the near future. Today (December 19), the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Taipei Municipal Government cooperated to create a demonstration site for LED energy-saving lighting standards, and selected three locations to place novel LED street lights. The product of Led Street Light was built, and the Ministry of Economic Affairs commissioned the Industrial Technology Research Institute to cooperate with China Electric, Epistar, LiteOn, AOP, Lusrous, and Precision. Manufacturers such as Weiming and other manufacturers assisted in the demonstration project of LED street light standards.

As this move can be regarded as Taiwan's official launch of the Led Street Lamp popularization plan, it is expected that the LED street lamp market in Taiwan is expected to expand in 2009, and the global LED street lamp market also has the opportunity to further increase its scale, for Taiwan, which plays an important role in the global LED industry. For manufacturers, there are business opportunities that have a great chance of cutting in, and related developments and standards are the focus of attention in the industry.

LEDinside also visited Delta Electronics, Neng Tyi and Qiqi Optoelectronics today to mix LED lighting solutions jointly developed by the three companies. According to the LED street light structure of Qihao Optoelectronics, Delta is responsible for the design and production of electric drive and system integration. It can be responsible for the heat dissipation and mechanism design and production of street lamps. Qiqi Optoelectronics provides its own developed optical system for this lamp. In the middle, the LED die used is a Taiwanese product, which is equivalent to the LED streetlight solution independently developed by Taiwan from beginning to end, from the inside to the outside, which is different from other LED streetlight solutions using foreign components.

According to the LED street light standards of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the heat dissipation and electronic specifications of LED street lamps are improved compared with the past, making it more in line with energy-saving and environmentally friendly specifications. The LED lighting standard and quality research and development alliance composed of 7 manufacturers, in this 228 Peace Park, Nanyang Street, Fuzhou Street, a total of 3 LED street light demonstration project points, provide LED street lamp standard products for demonstration, modeling, lighting benefits And the organization has made more modifications than the previous products. If we consider that the luminous efficiency of LED products has been raised to a certain level, the LED grain output efficiency of foreign manufacturers has been more than 100 lumens per watt, and the product of Taiwan die is 90 lumens per watt. The basic engine of the light source has certain availability. The maturity of the LED street light products in 2009 can be said to have reached the stage of water supply, and the general layout of the mainstream street lighting pattern has the opportunity to become possible.

The demonstration streetlight of Qihao Optoelectronics is set up in Nanyang Street, Taipei. General Manager Liu Jiaqi pointed out that this time it is a 100-watt LED streetlight product, which uses a 10W COB package, which is a multi-chip package. ), different from the single 1 watt LED light source design at home and abroad, has a good effect on the replacement and package heat, the light distribution curve meets the standard regulations. The luminous efficiency of the whole lamp is more than 50 lumens per watt, and the life of the power supply and the life of the LED are about 30,000 hours or more.

And with Qi Wei, we can visit Wei Wenzhen, the chairman of Nengqi Precision. He pointed out that in order to ensure the environmental temperature is 50 degrees Celsius, the thermal design can refer to the historical temperature of Taiwan Central Weather Bureau. The data also considers the impact of earthquakes and road vibrations on LED street lights, and carefully plans the strength, aesthetics and industrial design of the organization. On the other hand, Delta Electronics, which is paired with Qiqi, is one of the industry benchmarks in the field of power supply products. Changjiang Wenxing, a component business group of the Solid State Lighting Division, said that this time, DC drive and system integration were used. High-power density AC-DC module, combined with DC low-voltage constant current drive module, AC-DC conversion efficiency is 90%, DC-DC is over 92%, total efficiency is 83%, power factor is optimized. More than 0.9, it can be said to comply with CNS 15233 national regulations.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs pointed out that in the 228 Peace Park, there were 17 盏 85W LED garden lights to replace the original 200W mercury lamps, and the energy efficiency was as high as 57.5%. In the Fuzhou Street section, the 15 盏 125W LED street light was used to replace the existing 8 meter high 400W high pressure nano lamp, and the energy saving benefit reached 68.8%. In the Nanyang Street section, 20盏120W LED street lights were used to replace the current 5m high 200W mercury street lights, and the energy efficiency was 40%. The energy-saving effect of the 52-inch LED street light in the above three blocks is as high as 57%.

Minister Yin Qiming of the Ministry of Economic Affairs explained that Taiwan's LED industry output is the world's number one, and its output value is the second in the world. In the future, Taiwan will try to improve product quality, promote high value-added innovation and establish a complete set of LED national standards. The "LED Lighting Standard and Quality R&D Alliance" established by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in 2007 originally expected to produce 17 LED standard specifications. At present, 9 important LED standard drafts have been completed, and will be announced as LED national standards in the future. Taipei Mayor Hao Longbin said that after the evaluation, the 140,000 street lamps in Taipei will be replaced with LED street lights to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.

How big is the LED street light market in Taiwan? Although the current budget for led streetlights proposed by the Energy Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs is set at around NT$200 million to NT$300 million, with the introduction of local governments such as townships and cities, the overall benefits in the future will be considerable. According to the road lighting regulations, every 25 meters requires a street lamp. If all of them are replaced by LEDs, there are about a few million turns in Taiwan. Considering the future LED lamps, the luminous efficiency is improved, and the cost reduction factor is gone. The market size of 5 billion yuan is waiting to be developed.

Although the current problems faced by LED street lamps are cost, organization, luminous efficiency and longevity, the technological progress of the industry is continuous and there are ways to overcome and solve and improve. However, the design of the LED street lamp can not be combined with the streetscape of urban and rural areas. Whether the appearance of industrial design can jump away from the traditional street lamp level is not only the responsibility of the manufacturer, but also the county and city governments must carry out the bidding. Take it into consideration.

In the long run, the specifications of LED street lamps are becoming more and more mature. In the future, when installing new ones and replacing old ones, they will encounter problems of consistency and product extension. How to solve them? It will be the LED street lamp related industry, as well as the direction of government units to study hard.

The above is a general street light, and there are opportunities to replace it in the future.

This is an LED street light that complies with the LED standard specification. It is also ingenious in its shape and is a product of Zhongmeng Optoelectronics.
